Mother Blessing ceremony
The woman is pampered, nurtured and celebrated by her circle of female friends and loved ones whom she totally trusts in and who believe in her.
Everyone brings a special bead for mama, plate of food to share and an optional gift for her. Gatherings can include a traditional bead ceremony (for mama-to-be to wear till baby's birth), cord ceremony ( thread or ribbons for loved ones to wear till news of baby's arrival), flowers, painting, Henna, belly dancing, sharing birth stories, massage, cutting of the dilatation cake and closing ceremony.
The mama to be totally immerses herself in the experience and allows her ‘cup’ to be deeply filled and overflow with love. Nothing like a circle of loving women to get natures love hormone (oxytocin) overflowing!
Other mothers in the circle also get to spend quality time with the mama-to-be and share positive uplifting stories so she can openly express any fears or worries in the safe and sacred circle and in turn receive the support and all encouragement she needs.
I am happy to facilitate your Blessing way for up to 10 of your close friends or family. We will have a meeting before hand so as to establish your wishes and what activities you wish to include in the ceremony which can last for anything from a mini 2 hours or 6 for the party types ;-). I can provide the flowers, belly dancing scarves, massage oils and the art materials you will need and your friends can keep their paintings or offer them to you as a gift.

" It has been such an empowering experience to have the important women in my life (including Ijay) gather together to support me in preparation for birth. The ceremony was new to us all but we had such an amazing time doing henna, belly dancing, laughing and sharing good energy. I felt truly cared about. Thank you, Ijay, for making this fabulous event happen!"
